We engage at three different levels to affect change for young people in New Zealand
We create projects that support young people
to do more of what they love & make a difference.
We support young people to take action around the
youth-related issues that matter most to them.
We work & partner with organisations & local government
to have young people shape, design & create the systems that affect them.
We work with Youth Service Providers, Schools,
Local Government & Business looking to
better engage & empower young people
From creative engagements & activations, to youth-led co-design sessions we want to support you to better understand, execute & deliver youth engagement.
Who we've worked with...
Where we started....
Founded in 2013 - On a park bench in Kumeu, Auckland
Founded by Kiran Patel, Jess Bailey & Shayna Bridger - we dreamt of the question; What would it look like if our peers (young people) were supported to do what they love & make a difference? If their voices was valued, if they were empowered to express their true selves, and were able to affect the systems that affected them.
We began as a small group of three, and over the years the organisation has evolved, to look at not simply engaging young people at an aspirational level, but how can we tackle the youth social issues that exist, and look to create a social infrastructure that supports young people, no matter their background, demographics, culture or race.
Creative, diverse, passionate innovators, working in & on youth-related projects, a part and within organisations working to see all young people come alive.
Our community is made up of young people who have a passion or project for youth empowerment. Who wish to develop skills for innovation, connect with like-minded people, and work on projects to empower young people.
We engage with our community on a few levels:
We want to support you and your projects, help you get through challenges, and share opportunities to grow and deepen your impact. As a network we support each others projects via brainstorming sessions, monthly gatherings, connecting you to people, organisations or projects for you to collaborate with, and connecting you to resources, tools & platforms.
EVENTS & WORKSHOPS
We believe in bringing together the best minds in design thinking, co.design, youth development, youth social issues to come and share their stories, tips & techniques to build the capacity of our network.
Opportunities to work on projects with organisations, on programmes, workshops & design challenges.
